
Women's Soccer Adds Transfer Goalkeeper for 2011

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville women's soccer head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes announced the addition of goalkeeper Kassie Young to the Cardinals' roster for the 2011 season.
Young, a native of Lakeville, Minn., arrives in Louisville with one year of remaining eligibility after playing one season at the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D., for coach Levi Evans and two seasons at Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, Minn., for head coach Cam Stoltz.
While playing for Dakota County, Young ranked in the top 20 in the National Junior College Athletic Association in goals against average. Majoring in exercise physiology, she currently plays amateur soccer the Minnesota Kings in the Women's Premier Soccer League.
Louisville will host Vanderbilt for an exhibition game on Aug. 13 at 7 p.m., ET at Cardinal Park before opening the 2011 regular season at Eastern Kentucky on Aug. 19 at 5 p.m.
