WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The University of Louisville women's soccer team, ranked 22nd in the nation and off to its best start in school history, will face a stout test Wednesday when they face Wake Forest on the road.
The Cardinals are 4-0 for the first time in school history, after winning their home opener over Butler 1-0 on Sunday. U of L captured the Boilermaker Challenge Cup with wins over Loyola (IL) and Purdue to open the season before a midweek triumph at Ohio last week.
Freshman forward Kelsey Hunyadi, who was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week last week, is leading the team in scoring with two goals and an assist. The Cardinals have five different goal scorers through the first four matches.
Senior keeper Joanna Haig has a pair of shutouts this season and totals 10 in her career in the red and black, second in school history.
The match will be webcast live and on-demand on ACCSelect.com. The event is available to view by purchasing a single event pass for $4.99. With the purchase of a single event pass, the user will have access to the live webcast and the on-demand webcast of the match for 30 days.
