Combined on a shutout of Xavier in her Cardinal debut, logging a scoreless second half. Won five of her first six matches, picking up shutouts of DePaul (9/26) and Syracuse (10/1) to earn BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week honors. Earned shutouts in six of her last eight matches, including two that went to double overtime. Her eight shutouts on the season tied a school mark. Named to the Soccer Buzz National Elite Team following a pair of BIG EAST Tournament shutouts. Made a season-high 10 saves against West Virginia in the BIG EAST Quarterfinals. Posted a 9-4-2 record on the season. Made the AD Honor Roll, Dean's List, was a Red and Black Scholar, Dean's Scholar and a BIG EAST Academic All-Star.
2005(Iowa State): Named second team All-Big 12, leading the league in minutes (1763:06) and save percentage (.836), while setting a school record with seven shutouts, tying her for the top total in the conference. She was a member of the Academic All-Big 12 First Team, and her 11 wins as a sophomore is a single season record at ISU. Sported a miniscule 0.97 GAA. Stopped a season-high 12 shots in upset of #18 Texas A&M. Invited to participate with the US Soccer U-20 National Team. Earned Big 12 Defensive Player of the week after wins over Oklahoma State and Oklahoma, allowing just one goal on the week.
2004(Iowa State): Named to the Big 12 All-Newcomer Team and was on the Soccer Buzz Central Region All-Freshman team after winning eight games and posting a 1.39 GAA, the second best total in school history. After recording 13 saves in shutout of Missouri, she was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week.
High School: Picked up four letters in soccer and was an All-State selection in 2002 and 2003, while making the All-Conference team three times. Named team MVP of the 2003 Minnesota Senior All-Star game. Her club team won three straight state titles. She has been an ODP team member since 1998. Haig also earned All-Conference honors in gymnastics and track for the Simley Spartans, participating in the state track meet triple jump twice.
Personal: Born on 4/16/86 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Her parents Jennifer Christensen(volleyball) and Allan Haig(club hockey) played at Iowa State. Is majoring in marketing with a minor in sport administration and would like to play professional soccer, go on a mission trip, travel and eventually get a "real" job. Has two siblings, Andrea(24), who played soccer at Wayne State and Phillip(18), who will play football and baseball at Illinois. Her biggest thrill in sports was hearing the national anthem before a match against Congo while playing for the US Soccer U-20 National Team in Russia. Likes to hang out with her amazing teammates, play pretty much any sport and relax "on the many fine front porches the city of Louisville has to offer" in her spare time. Joe Mauer, Ronaldinho and Brett Favre are her favorite athletes, but she cheers on the Vikings and the Twins. The Notebook, Hitch and the Spiderman movies are her favorite flicks. Likes to watch Grey's Anatomy on TV. Cereal, popcorn and coffee are her favorite foods. Would like to share a meal with Jesus, Lance Armstrong and Harry Potter. Best athlete she has faced is the US Women's National Team. If she could be anyone for a day it would be U of L AD Tom Jurich.
