Cardinal Women's Soccer Releases 2003 Slate

LOUISVILLE, KY - The University of Louisville women's soccer team has announced its 2003 schedule that will feature nine home games at Cardinal Park. The 2003 Cards will open its 19th season of competition at home, August 31st when they host Butler at 1:00 p.m.
"Once again we have a great conference schedule for 2003 but we also have some fantastic non conference games that will be very competitive," said Head Coach Karen Ferguson.
"I'm excited to get the season started and see how our returners and incoming class will complement each other. It is a very exciting time for Louisville soccer and I encourage you to come watch us play at Cardinal Park. There are plenty of home games and your support is crucial to our success!"
Ferguson enters her fourth season as head coach of the Cardinals, having guided the team to its best season since 1997. Nine starters and 15 letterwinners return from last season's squad, including third-team All-C-USA member Gina Lower and All-Freshman team honoree Sarah Core.
"Although it will be very challenging, with the returning nucleus of players and the addition of an outstanding freshman class, I believe we will be competitive in every match," Ferguson added.
Admission to all U of L women's soccer home games at Cardinal Park is free.
