2008: Was limited to only seven games as a junior due to injury. Took five shots, including one on goal while providing stablity to the Cards' defense. Named to Dean's List and Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
2007: A steady force on the back line, starting 20 of the 21 matches and playing in all 21, helping the Cardinal defense set a record with 12 shutouts on the season. Her throw-in was the secondary assist on a set piece goal that defeated Seton Hall with a little under two minutes to go in the second overtime (10/14). Followed that with the primary assist on Kelsey Hunyadi's goal that tied Marquette with 10 seconds remaining in regulation in the very next game (10/19).
2006: Came off the bench in eight matches in her first season with the Cardinals, tying for third on the team in assists. Set up the Cards' fourth goal in the win over Xavier (9/10). Notched her second assist on the game winner at Western Kentucky (9/17).
2005: Redshirted while at Tulane.
High School: Lettered four years in soccer at Avon High School, earning first-team All-State in 2003 and 2004, and was second team All-State in 2002. The Orioles won the Hoosier Cup in 2004. She was a four-time Metro-West first team selection and a member of the Indianapolis State Super Team in 2004. Was a three-time All-Hoosier Crossroads Conference pick and was voted team MVP her junior year. Also played basketball and competed in track and field. Spent five years with the Dynamo FC club team before playing for the Carmel Heat. Was a five-year member of the Indiana ODP Team.
Personal: Born in Indianapolis on 3/18/87 to Bill and Maureen Owen. Has one older sister, Stephanie. Her biggest thrill in sports is hearing the fans cheering on the team, especially in a close game. Is majoring in exercise science at U of L and would like to get a job in physical therapy. Her parents are her greatest influence on her athletic career. Wedding Crashers, Dodgeball and Failure to Launch are her favorite movies and she watches Friends and CSI on TV. Lance Armstrong is her favorite athlete and mac-n-cheese is her favorite food. She cheers on the Colts and would like to have dinner with Paul Walker, Jesus and Monique Gjini.
