2004 C-USA All-Freshman Team
2006: Finished the season third on the team in scoring with five goals and two assists, totalling 12 points, starting all 20 matches. Picked up her first goal of the season in win over Xavier (9/10). Made a splash on the Cards' national TV debut, carding a pair of goals, including the game winner in 4-1 win over UC (9/13). Had a goal and an assist in the 3-0 win over DePaul (9/26), after netting a pair of goals that did not count in a game against the Blue Demons (9/22) that was halted due to weather. Scored the game winner on the only shot she took against Syracuse (10/1). Scored all five of her goals in a scorching seven-game span. A member of the AD Honor Roll, Dean's List, a Red and Black Scholar and a BIG EAST Academic All Star.
2005: One of six on the squad to start all 19 matches for the Cardinals during her sophomore season. Was fourth on the team in points (7) and tied for third in assists (3). Picked up her first point of the season on an assist in win over WKU (9/11). Set up Jamie Craft's game winner at Providence (9/30). Scored the dramatic game winner off a corner kick with just over a minute remaining at Georgetown (10/7). Put the Cards on top of Villanova 2-1 two days later with her second goal in as many games. Was a Red and Black Scholar Athlete and member of the AD Honor Roll.
2004: Made an immediate impact as a true freshman, playing in 17 matches and starting 14, on her way to making the C-USA All-Freshman Team. Scored two goals in her first collegiate campaign. Her first goal was a penalty kick in overtime that gave the Cards a 1-0 win over Xavier (9/19) in overtime. Again scored a game-winner on a PK, this time in a 2-0 win over Southern Miss (10/3). Made the AD Honor Roll, Dean's and Commissioner's list and was a Red and Black Scholar academically.
High School: All-Conference, All-Academic Conference, All-City Team, All-Area and All-Sectional midfielder for the Wildcats. High school team won Conference, Regional and Sectional and was a state finalist. Played for 2003 National Champion Illinois ODP. Club team was WAGS Champs and State Cup Champions.
Personal:Born on 10/28/85 in Vallejo, California to Carlos and Susan Avila. Is studying psychology and justice administration. Biggest thrill in sports was when she and her ODP team won the national championship. Backpack through Europe are among her aspirations. Names Chicago, Matrix, Finding Nemo and League of Their Own as her favorite movies. The US women's National Team is her favorite team. She likes to eat fruit, cotton candy, breadsticks and barbecued chicken. Her favorite athletes are Julie Foudy and Zinadine Zidane. Her dream dinner guests would be her family, Foudy and Oprah.
