Totaled nine hits in the five games of the NCAA Regional to earn Most Outstanding Player honors. Tallied three hits and drove in a pair in the NCAA Regional final against Illinois State on June 3. Finished with three hits, three runs, three RBIs and his first home run of the season in a win over Illinois State on June 2. Connected for first career home run (2-run) to give Louisville lead for good and was 2-for-3 with three RBI in June 2 win over Radford in NCAA Regional... Hit safely and scored in each of the Cardinals’ two ACC Championship games against Florida State and Notre Dame... Had RBI single in April 30 win over Toledo... Came off the bench for season-high two RBI in March 15 win over Xavier... Tripled and scored in Feb. 25 win over Omaha before closing series with RBI single, a run scored and a diving catch in left field in Feb. 26 finale... Had a single, RBI and scored once in first career start in Louisville’s win over No. 22 Maryland on Feb. 18... Singled in first collegiate plate appearance as a pinch hitter against Alabama State on Feb. 17 in Clearwater, Florida.

High School: Played three seasons of prep baseball at Champaign Central High School in Champaign, Ill., under coach John Staab, before finishing his prep career with one year at Louisville Ballard High School under coach David Trager... Ranked as the No. 4 player in the state of Kentucky in the class of 2016 by Perfect Game and was No. 9 in the state according to Prep Baseball Report… Received All-Area honors in all three years at Champaign Central... Received All-State honors on two occasions... Hit .469 with 12 doubles and 22 RBI as a prep senior and finished junior season with a .552 batting average.
