Amelia Swinarski Named to Hermann Trophy Midfielders Watch List

Swinarski is the leading goal, assist and point scorer from the record breaking 2025 season
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Louisville women's soccer junior midfielder Amelia Swinarski was named to the Hermann Trophy Midfielders Watch List, the United Soccer Coaches announced Friday afternoon. This is the second preseason honor for Swinarski as she was named to the Preseason All-ACC team earlier this week.
Swinarski is coming off a breakout season in 2025, where she led the team in goals, assists and points. She tallied 10 goals, 10 assists and 30 points on the year for one of the most productive offensive seasons in program history. Her 10 assists were tied for fourth in program history for most in a single season. The 10 goals and 30 points were the most by a Louisville player since the 2013 season.
Swinarski was named ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week in September after her first career hat trick against Kent State. She became just the second Louisville player to record a hat trick at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium. She was named to the Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch List in October and was named Second Team All-ACC following the season.
The lists are compiled and released by the Division I All-America Committees to promote college soccer leading up to the official start date for the regular season later this month. The lists include United Soccer Coaches All-Americans and All-Region players from 2025 who are scheduled to return for the 2026 season.
These positional announcements also lead up to the 2026 watch lists for the prestigious Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy on the official start date for regular season games on August 19 (men). The MAC Hermann Trophy is presented annually to the Division I National Players of the Year as voted by Division I College Coaches at the end of the regular season. The 2026 recipients will be announced on January 8, 2027, in St. Louis, Mo.
Swinarski and the Cardinals will begin the season on Wednesday, August 12, as they host Nebraska at Lynn Stadium. The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET and all regular season home matches are free admission.
