TEAM NOTES
- The Cardinals are 103-24 (.811) under Dan McDonnell against teams from the state of Kentucky (Bellarmine, EKU, Kentucky, Morehead State, Murray State, NKU and WKU).
- Louisville ranks fourth nationally in triples with five through its first seven games. The Cards recorded three in the game against Michigan last weekend in Arlington.
PLAYER NOTES
- Tague Davis announced his presence at the plate in 2025, setting the Louisville freshman home run record with 18 long balls in his first season. The first baseman tied for the ACC regular season lead in home runs and was the first Louisville freshman to hit double-digit homers since Alex Binelas in 2019. Davis launched three homers last week as part of a 9-for-18 four-game stretch that saw him tally six extra-base hits and drive in nine.
- Kyle Campbell did not see any time on the field as a freshman in 2025. He made his collegiate debut in the season opener as a pinch runner, stealing a base in the ninth inning. He's gotten off to a great start at the plate, going 7-for-14 with six runs scored.
- Griffin Crain missed the 2025 season due to injury, but is making the most of the start to his career on the field this spring. Through the first seven games, Crain is hitting .389 and is second on the team with eight RBIs. He delivered the biggest hit of his young career on Friday against Nebraska, hitting a go-ahead two-run double in the sixth inning of the Louisville win.
- Lucas Moore had a special sophomore season that resulted in All-America honors. Moore was the national leader in stolen bases with 53, the first Power Four player to swipe 50 or more since Trea Turner in 2012. He also finished second nationally with 85 runs scored, the most by a Louisville player in more than 30 years. Moore started 2026 right where he left off last year, hitting .364 with seven runs scored and 6-for-6 in stolen bases.
