Gorbenko Named ACC Women's Swimmer of the Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – In the 13th set of weekly honors for the 2025-26 Atlantic Coast Conference Swimming & Diving season, Anastasia Gorbenko was named ACC Women's Swimmer of the Week.
Against No. 2 Texas and No. 12 Ohio State at the Texas Showdown, Gorbenko finished first in five individual events including the 50 breast (26.28), 200 breast (2:07.45), 100 IM (52.42), 100 breast (57.67) and 200 IM (1:53.53). Gorbenko earned program records in both the 100 breast and 200 IM and ranks No. 1 nationally in the 50 breast and 100 IM, No. 2 in the 100 breast, No. 3 in the 200 IM and No. 8 in the 200 breast. Gorbenko secured NCAA Cuts in the 200 breast, 100 breast and 200 IM.
For relays, Gorbenko helped the 400-medley relay, 200-medley relay and 400 free relay claim victory. All three relays notched NCAA Cuts and rank top seven in the country, with the 200-medley relay at No. 4, the 400-medley relay at No. 6 and the 400 free relay at No. 7.
The Cardinals hit the road to compete against the No. 3/9 Indiana Hoosiers on Friday, January 30, then return home to host the Cincinnati Bearcats on Saturday, January 31 for senior day.
