Preas, Helmboldt, Keith Punch Tickets to NCAAs on Platform to Close NCAA Zone C Diving Championships

Helmboldt makes second-straight appearance at NCAAs
YPSILANTI, Mich. – University of Louisville divers Ray Preas, Samm Helmboldt, and Samantha Keith punched their tickets to the men's and women's NCAA Championships after the men's and women's platform diving finals on the final day of the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships on Wednesday evening at Eastern Michigan's Michael H. Jones Natatorium.
For the men, Preas earned his spot at the men's championships after a ninth-place platform diving score of 644.05. The sophomore improved from 13th place in prelims. Teammate Rayce Winn took 22nd in prelims, posting a 261.40.
On the women's side, Helmboldt secured her second consecutive trip to the women's championships following an eighth-place platform diving score of 484.15. Keith was right behind, claiming her spot at the championships after posting a ninth-place score of 483.30. Audree Brazeau-Howes finished 16th with a 415.30.
The Cards return to action at the men's and women's NCAA Championships, which will both be held at Georgia Tech's McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta. The women's championships will be from Wednesday, Mar. 18 to Saturday, Mar. 21, while the men's championships will be from Wednesday, Mar. 25 to Saturday, Mar. 28. ESPN+ will provide live digital coverage for preliminary and finals sessions Wednesday through Saturday for both championships.
