TEAM NOTES
- UofL is 59-34-2 in its 95 all-time ACC series (one series ended 1-1, one ended 1-1-1) since joining the league and is 64-28-1 in its series finales during that span, including a 23-15-1 record in rubber games.
- Louisville owns 176 conference wins since joining the ACC in 2015, the most conference wins during that time of any current Power Four school.
- The Cardinals have won 35 of their 47 ACC series at home since debuting in the conference.
- The Louisville offense has tallied double digit hits in 17 games to start the season, going 15-2 in those contests. The Cards notched at least 10 hits 29 times in 2024, posting a 22-7 mark when doing so.
- The Cardinals are 21-2 this season when outhitting their opponent and 0-5 when losing the hit battle.
- Louisville is 18-2 when hitting a home run this season.
- The Cardinals have more free passes as an offense than strikeouts, tallying 130 walks and 48 HBPs to 170 strikeouts.
- Louisville is 14-1 when it limits the opposition to five runs or less and 19-2 when its opponent is kept in single digits.
- The Cardinals have 11 come-from-behind wins this season, including four walk-off victories.
PLAYER NOTES
- Lucas Moore has been the ultimate weapon at the top of the lineup for the Cards. Moore leads the Cardinals with 43 runs scored and is tops in the ACC in runs per game. The speedy outfielder is also a perfect 21-for-21 in stolen bases, pacing the conference in that category as well. Moore owns a 26-game reached base streak and 13-game hit streak heading into the weekend, both career bests.
- Tagger Tyson redshirted last season and began this year splitting time as the back-up catcher. With Matt Klein down due to injury, Tyson has been thrust into a starting role and been excellent at the plate. Tyson is hitting .362 with eight extra base hits in 47 at-bats. He is batting .500 (10-for-20) with three doubles, a homer and eight RBIs in five ACC games, and he leads the Cardinals with a .643 average (9-for-14) with runners in scoring position.
- Eddie King Jr. went on the shelf with an injury just four games into the season and missed nearly three weeks. King returned to the starting lineup for the first time in the finale of the North Carolina series, but he has really heated up at the plate over the last week. The senior is 8-for-15 in his last five games last week, with two doubles, two home runs and seven runs scored. King led the Cardinals in home runs and RBIs in 2024.
- Jake Munroe has made an immediate impact in the middle of Louisville's lineup. The junior college All-American is eighth in the ACC in eighth in hits and triples, and 11th in runs and batting average. Munroe has a hit in 22 of 28 games this season with 13 multi-hit games.
- Zion Rose has an exception freshman campaign that saw him hit .380 with 19 extra-base hits and 32 RBIs while finishing with more walks than strikeouts. The start to 2025 has seen more of the same but with more damage. Rose is hitting .336 and already has 15 extra-base hits and 32 RBIs in just 28 games. The increase in production hasn't affected his plate discipline though, as he has 10 walks and three HBPs to just 14 strikeouts.
- Wyatt Danilowicz missed all of the 2024 season due to injury, but has been outstanding in his return to the mound. In 12 relief appearances, the southpaw has allowed just one unearned run over 11.1 innings with 18 strikeouts. Danilowicz earned his first career save in the weekend finale against UIC, recording the final four outs.
