Women’s Soccer Places 17 on All-ACC Academic Team

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — 17 University of Louisville women's soccer student-athletes were named to the 2024 All-ACC Academic Team, the conference announced on Wednesday. It is the third-straight year the Cardinals have had over 15 members on the All-ACC Academic Team after they had a program-best 18 last season and 17 for the 2022 season.
The players represented on the the team are defender Karsyn Cherry, forward Fina Davy, goalkeeper Erynn Floyd, forward Mackenzie Geigle, midfielder AG Gibson, midfielder Betsy Huckaby, forward Amber Jackson, forward Emersen Jennings, goalkeeper Kailey Kimball, defender Brooklyn Lee, defender Emma Kate Schroll, defender Lizzie Sexton, defender Hadley Snyder, Gianna Angelillo, Molly Cochran, Lauryn Contini and Brooke Dardano.
This past fall semester, the Cards registered a 3.62 team GPA. They had 25 student-athletes who earned AD Honor Roll status, which is a 3.0 GPA or higher in the semester. 25 student-athletes earned Red and Black scholar status, which is a 3.25 GPA or higher in the semester. A total of eight student-athletes had a perfect 4.0 GPA in the fall semester.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.
