Cardinals to Host Season Opener With Xavier

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville swimming and diving teams start their season hosting Xavier, Friday at 3 p.m. inside Ralph Wright Natatorium.
Last year the Cards opened the season sweeping Xavier. The Louisville men won 167-86 and the women, 168-85.

The women's team for the Cards finished last season, third in the ACC Championships and sixth in the NCAA Championships. Senior Julia Dennis is coming off a summer where she was named to the USA Swimming National Team. Last year with the Cards, Dennis earned three silver medals and one bronze medal during the ACC Championships. In the NCAA Championships, Dennis collected one silver medal and three bronze medals.
The Men's team for UofL finished last season placing fifth in the ACC Championships and 14th at the NCAA Championships. Guy Brooks comes back for his senior season with the Cards. Brooks earn a bronze for Louisville at the ACC Championships. Brooks also earned All-American Honors for the Cards in 2023 at the NCAA Championships. Tommy Bried, UofL's gold medal IM'er also returns for the Cards

The Musketeers finished their season last year at the BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Championships. Their men & women teams both finished third. Xavier put a combined 15 swimmers on the All-BIG EAST Team.
