No. 10/8 Cardinals Head to Lexington for Battle of the Bluegrass

LOUISVILLE, Ky- The No.10/8-ranked University of Louisville men's and women's swimming and diving teams are making the seventy-five-mile trip to Lexington, Kentucky to face their in-state rival the University of Kentucky Wildcats, Saturday, January 25, at 1 p.m. inside Lancaster Aquatic Center.

The Cardinals are coming off a January 3, 2025, road sweep in their dual meet against Missouri. The No. 10-ranked UofL men defeated Missouri 193-107, and the No. 8-ranked women defeated Missouri 204-95.

The Wildcats were last in action January 18, 2025, where the swept Cincinnati in a dual meet. The unranked Kentucky men defeated Cincinnati 164-136, and the unranked Kentucky women defeated Cincinnati 179-116.

Last meeting between these two rivals was January 27, 2024, where the Cardinals swept the Wildcats. With the UofL men defeating Kentucky 209.5-88.5, and the UofL women defeating the Kentucky 210-90.

Louisville Head Coach Arthur Albiero has a 15-6 record against the Kentucky men and is 10-11 against Kentucky's women.
