Loktev Advances in the 200M Freestyle on Day 2 at Olympics

PARIS -- University of Louisville swimmer Denis Loktev advanced to the semifinals of the 200M freestyle after the preliminaries Sunday morning at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Loktev, swimming for his native Israel, put up a time of 1:47.01 to be seeded 14th going into the semifinals at 2:45 ET this afternoon.

The top seed will be Romanian David Popovici, who boarded a time of 1:45.65.
