Cardinals Set for Four Against St. Bonaventure

Louisville will take on St. Bonaventure this weekend starting with a Friday doubleheader.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville baseball team welcomes St. Bonaventure to Jim Patterson Stadium for four games this weekend. The series gets underway with a Friday doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. ET with single games Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. All three games will be televised on ACC Network Extra. Radio coverage will be available on 970 WGTK Friday and Sunday with 93.9 The Ville carrying Saturday's game.
ABOUT THE CARDINALS
This will mark the first four-game series for the Cardinals since four against Ball State March 17-19, 2006.
Louisville suffered a 9-1 defeat against Xavier in its home opener on Wednesday. It was just the third home opening loss in 18 seasons for Dan McDonnell.
SERIES HISTORY
Louisville and St. Bonaventure will be meeting for the first time this weekend.
The Cardinals are 48-32 all-time against current members of the Atlantic 10 Conference. Louisville has previously played against Dayton (9-6), George Mason (1-0), Richmond (1-0), Saint Louis (31-17) and VCU (5-9). The Cards swept a three-game series against Dayton last March.

- Sebastian Gongora made his Louisville debut as the Opening Day starter against Indiana State. The Wright State transfer struck out seven over five innings with just two runs allowed.
- Evan Webster kicked off his fifth season in a Louisville uniform with just the fourth start of his career. The southpaw tossed four scoreless innings against UConn, matching his career-long outing and career-high in strikeouts with four. Webster owns 69 career appearances, nine shy of cracking Louisville's top 10 list all-time. Webster has knocked more than a full run off his ERA each of the last two seasons, posting a 3.09 mark in 35 innings last year.
