Diving Participates in Spring Sport Media Day

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of Louisville diving coach Ryan Rougeux and diver Lindsay Gizzi previewed the upcoming championship season ahead today at the Planet Fitness Kueber Center on campus.Â
The Cardinals will host instate rival Kentucky on Jan. 27 at noon at the Ralph Wright Natatorium.Â
Also ahead of the diving squad is senior diver Else Praasterink, who will be diving in Doha, Qatar at the World Championships early next week in hopes of punching her tickets to the Paris Olympics later this year.Â

- Else Praasterink has qualified for World Championships and will be competing for the Netherlands Feb. 4-5 in Doha.
- Louisville is hosting NCAA Zone C Diving Championships March 14-16 at the Ralph Wright Natatorium. This is how divers qualify for the NCAA Championships.
- Rayce Winn is ranked in the nation in 1M and 3M diving. Â Else Praasterink is ranked No. 7 in the nation in Platform and she and Lindsay Gizzi are nationally ranked in both 1M and 3M.
- The Kentucky meet is Jan 27 at 1 p.m. at the Ralph Wright Natatorium.
