Divers Complete Competition at House of Champions

INDIANAPOLIS -- University of Louisville diver Else Praasterink won the platform as the Cardinal divers completed the final day of competition at the IUPI House of Champions Invitational.

The divers competed platform on the final day at House of Champions. All six divers who competed were able to qualify for finals, and four of the divers achieved NCAA Zone Cuts.

Else Praasterink finished first with a score of 310.75. Teammate Samm Helmboldt finished 2nd with a zone cut score of 261.35. Grace Leonard was 5th with a 224.40 and Lindsay Gizzi rounded out the final with a 7th place finish. In prelims, Gizzi achieved her NCAA zone cut scoring 240.50.

The men's highest finished can from freshman Rayce Winn who scored a 342.60 for his NCAA zone cut. Che Stephens also competed in the platform finishing 4th in finals. His highest score of the day was a 286.60 during platform prelims.

The Cards will be heading to Knoxville on Monday, November 28th to compete at the USA Diving Winter National Championships which serves as the trials meet for the 2024 World Championship in Doha.
