Cardinals Advancing in Doubles at the Jon Cade Invitational

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- The University of Louisville women's tennis team completed the second day at the third-annual John Cade Invitational on the campus of Mississippi State this weekend.

Louisville doubles are making a strong showing in early competition with the pair of Allie Gretkowski and Lika Persypkina advancing to the Finals. Lillian Mould and Berta Miret have also advanced to the finals.

The Cardinals will face Mississippi State, Louisiana Tech, North Texas and Ole Miss which will compete at both the Rula Tennis Pavilion and A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre Friday through Sunday.

The tournament began with doubles on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by another round of doubles beginning at 10:30 a.m. First round of singles began at 12:30 p.m. to close out Friday. Saturday and Sunday's rounds will also begin at 9 a.m.
