LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The No. 17/6-ranked University of Louisville men's and women's swimming and diving teams swept the University of Cincinnati on Saturday afternoon at the Ralph Wright Natatorium.

The No. 17-ranked Louisville men won 203-94 and the No. 6 women won 198-92. Â

On an afternoon that honored nine graduating seniors, the Cardinals were powered by 20 individual winners, ten from the women's team and ten from the men's team.

Both the Cardinal men and women got off to a fast start, each winning the 200 medley relay. The women's A -relay, consisting of Fernanda Gomes Celidonio (26.11), Gabi Albiero (27.22), Tristen Ulett (23.48), and Karoline Barrett (21.76) combined for a winning time of 1:38.57. The men's B-relay placed first as James Collin (23.02), Luke Shourds (23.87), Vlad Dubinin (21.45) and Caleb Duncan (19.29) recorded a time of 1:27.63.

Louisville's Paige Kuwata won the 1650 freestyle with a time of 16:28.21 while Ilia Sibirtsev on the men's team touched first with a time of 15:13.88.

The Cardinals swept the 200 yard freestyle, with Julia Dennis leading the way with a time of 1:46.67. Christina Regenauer and Ella Welch finished second and third, respectively. Michael Eastman won the men's 200 freestyle with a time of 1:36.29 while teammate Gustavo Saldo finished second.

The women's 100 backstroke was won by Louisville's Paige Hetrick touching at 53.15. Cincinnati's Hunter Gubeno took first in the men's 100 backstroke, recording a 48.10 followed by Louisville's Jackson Millard with a time of 48.54.

The Bearcats' Joleigh Crye touched first in the women's 100 breastroke (59.57) with Gabi Albiero finishing second (1:00.74). On the men's side, Louisville's Denis Petrashov finished first with a pool-record time of 53.87. Luke Shourds (53.96) was second and Aidan Kreiley (54.39) placed third.

Louisville took first in both men's and women's 200 butterfly as Denis Loktev touched with a 1:45.11 and Madie Hall recorded the winning time of 1:59.94.

The Louisville Cardinals swept both freestyle sprint events. Ella Welch (22.32) and Karoline Barrett (22.59) took first and second, respectively, in the women's 50 freestyle. The men's 50 freestyle was led by Abdelrahman El-Araby with a time of 19.50 followed by Caleb Duncan's 20.08. The 100 freestyle was led by Julia Dennis (48.43) on the women's team and Vlad Dubinin (43.60) on the men's team.

Cincinnati took first in both men's and women's 200 backstroke due to Lily Jones' 1:58.83 and Hunter Gubeno's 1:42.85. Madie Hall was the first Cardinal to finish with a 2:02.65 and Guy Brooks was second with a 1:46.47.
The women's 200 breaststroke was led by UofL's Fernanda Gomes Celidonio (2:14.15) and Cecilaa Viberg (2:14.62). The men's 200 breastroke was also taken by Louisville who saw Denis Petrashov (1:57.38) and Aidan Kreiley (1:59.72) placing first and second.

The Cardinals' Liberty Williams (4:44.89) and Murilo Sartori (4:21.85) posted the first place times in the 500 freestyle.

Louisville's Gabi Albiero placed first with a pool record time of 51.40 in the women's 100 butterfly and Haridi Sameh placed first with a 47.06 in the men's 100 butterfly.

In the final individual event of the day, Louisville's Abby Hay placed first in the 400 IM with a 4:11.28. The men's 400 IM was led by Louisville's Jackson Millard who recorded a 3:49.57.

In diving, UofL's Else Prassterink won the platform diving with a score of 279.90. Lindsay Gizzi was second with a score of 225.08 and Grace Leonard was third (223.35). Lindsay Gizzi placed first in the women's 3-meter springboard, scoring 313.05. Jiselle Miller of Louisville was second (312.45) and Grace Leonard was third (278.78).

For the men's divers on the 1-meter board, Louisville's Che Stephens came in first with a score of 345.30 while Adam Sneden (329.85) and Logan Smith (296.18) placed second and third. Louisville's Adam Sneden was first in the men's platform diving, scoring 328.80.

In the last event of the afternoon, the Cardinal women won the 200 free relay in 1:29.08 put up by Julia Dennis (22.10), Ella Welch (21.62), Karoline Barrett (21.89), and Paige Kuwata (23.47). The Louisville men's A-relay finished first with a 1:17.74 by Michael Eastman (19.98), Vlad Dubinin (19.26), Caleb Duncan (19.47), and Abdelrahman El-Araby (19.03).
