Cardinals Fall 17-10 at Pittsburgh
April 09, 2022 | Women's Lacrosse
Hannah Morris led Louisville with three goals, recording her 10th hat trick of the year.
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Hannah Morris recorded three goals, and notched her 10th hat trick of the year, but University of Louisville women's lacrosse fell 17-10 to Pittsburgh on Saturday at Highmark Stadium.
Â

Â
With the loss, the Cardinals move to 6-8 on the campaign, 1-5 in Atlantic Coast Conference play, while the Panthers improve to 7-7 on the season, 1-6 in league play.
Â
Pitt got on the board first, scoring two quick goals to take a 2-0 lead.
Â
Kylea Dobson got the Cards on the board, netting a free-position goal to cut the deficit to 2-1. Louisville continued to battle, trading goals before scoring back-to-back goals to tie the game 4-4 after the first quarter.
Â
Allegra Catalano and Kokoro Nakazawa scored the only two UofL goals in the second as the Cardinals entered the locker room down 8-6 at half.
Â
Louisville railed off four straight goals in the fourth the get back within three, down 13-10 with 10:42 left to play, but couldn't complete the comeback and fell 17-10.
Â
Morris led the Cards with three goals. Catalano and Dobson added two goals each while Caroline Blalock dished out a team-high three assists.
Â
Up next, Louisville travels to Syracuse, N.Y. as they take on the No. 4 ranked Orange on Saturday, April 16.
