
Louisville Travels to Take on No. 4 Syracuse This Saturday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville lacrosse continues its road trip as they travel to Syracuse, N.Y. to take on the No. 4 Orange this Saturday at Christian Brothers Academy. First draw is set for 12 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.

Senior Hannah Morris leads the team with 45 goals, which rank sixth in the Atlantic Coast Conference and 19th in the nation. Morris has scored in 13 of the team's 14 games this season and is just 3 goals away from 100 career goals.

Louisville has a trio of Cardinals who have scored multiple goals in the same game six times this season in Caroline Blalock, Morris and Nicole Perroni. Morris leads the team with 13 multi-goal games while Perroni and Blalock are right behind her with 10. Allegra Catalano has seven multi-goal games with Paige Richbourg and Kylea Dobson tallying four such games and Kokoro Nakazwa recording multiple goals in three games. Madi McKee, Bella Karstien, Isabella Rulapaugh have one such game.

Blalock is in the midst of a 20-game point streak, dating back to 4/3/21 vs. Virginia Tech. The streak is the longest of her career and is the longest since Hannah Koloski recorded a point in 22 straight games from 4/23/16-5/12/17. Perroni boasts a 16-game point streak dating back to 4/24/21 vs. Notre Dame.

Sarah and Caroline Blalock have moved into second all-time in program history with 74 games played, just one behind the program record of 75 held by Stephanie McNamara.

After her performance against Pittsburgh last week, Caroline has token sole possession of second all-time in both caused turnovers (94) and assists (54).

The Orange are 11-3, 5-1 in Atlantic Coast Conference play in 2022. Syracuse is coming off a 20-9 win at Cornell after falling to No. 1 North Carolina 14-12 for its first and only league play loss. The Orange are led by senior attacker Meaghan Tyrrell who ranks second in the ACC in goals (53), second in goals per game (3.79), second in points (77) and fourth in assists per game (1.71). Redshirt-junior Kimber Hower has been solid in net for the Orange, tallying 68 saves with a .376 save percentage. Kimber ranks seventh in the league in save percentage and eighth in saves and saves per game (4.9).Â

Series History - Louisville is 1-11 all-time against Syracuse, 1-6 at home and 0-5 on the road. The Cards lone win came in 2017 when they beat Syracuse 9-8 at UofL Lacrosse Stadium.Â
