Louisville falls 18-3 at Notre Dame in regular season finale
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The University of Louisville lacrosse team fell 18-3 to No. 15 Notre Dame in both teams' regular season finale Thursday evening at Arlotta Stadium.

The Cardinals close the 2026 campaign with a 6-9 overall record and a 2-8 mark in Atlantic Coast Conference play.

Maggie McMahon, Ella Berg and Reese Whiteman registered a goal apiece and Grayce Kitchen tallied an assist in the game. Notre Dame (12-4, 6-4 ACC) took a 9-0 lead to start the game, but McMahon got the scoring started for the Cardinals with her 20th goal of the season.

After the Irish took an 11-1 lead into halftime, they continued their run with two more goals before Ella Berg netted her team-best 34th goal of the season. Reese Whiteman delivered her 33rd  goal of the season in the fourth quarter to cap the scoring for the Cardinals.

In the game, Louisville held a 17-5 advantage in draw controls and 12-6 edge in saves with Campbell Murray collecting a pair of stops to supplement the 10 from Richards. Notre Dame fired off 27 shots on goal compared to eight for Louisville and led 30-9 in ground balls.
