Louisville Lacrosse Represented at World Lacrosse Games

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville lacrosse program will be well-represented in the 2026 World Lacrosse Women's Championship. Head coach Scott Teeter and associate head coach Allison Daley along with alumnae Anna Lottmann, Kokoro Nakazawa, Mónica Negrón, Kirsten Parker Nicole Perroni and Jamie Redding are set to coach or compete on the international stage in Tokyo from July 24-August 2.

Canada
UofL head coach Scott Teeter and associate head coach Allison Daley will serve as co-head coaches and former Cardinal standout Nicole Perroni will take the field for Team Canada which enters the tournament ranked No. 2 in the world. The trio helped Canada reach the 2025 Pan American Women's Lacrosse Championship Semifinals and earn a silver medal in the Continental Championship.

Teeter has served as a coach for Team Canada in several different roles over the years, starting back in 2011 when he took over the U19 team, going on to win a gold medal in that role at the World Championships in 2015. He guided the senior team to a silver medal at the 2017 World Championships and served as head coach at the 2022 World Championship and 2022 World Games. Â
Daley will serve in a general manager and co-head coach role. She brings experience from the international lacrosse scene too, being a former player for Canada and bringing home two silver medals, first at the 2017 World Cup and then the 2017 World Games.

Perroni played for Louisville from 2020-24. The Whitby, Ontario native was a 2024 IWLCA Second Team All-American. As a senior at UofL, she put together a program-record 55-game point scoring streak and a 54-game goal scoring streak, both the longest streaks and finished her career ranked fourth all-time in draw controls (200) and tied the program record for career caused turnovers (107). She was selected by the Boston Guard in the Women's Lacrosse League 2026 Supplemental Draft.

Czechia
Anna Lottmann (formerly Kopecka) will suit up for Czechia. Lottman played for the Cardinals from 2013-15 following two seasons at George Mason. After being sidelined by injury in 2013, she netted 15 goals and dished out nine assists in her final two seasons. The veteran was first named a member of the national team in 2007 and has competed for the Czech Republic in multiple World Games. The Prague native helped her team to a seventh- place finish in the 2024 European Women's Lacrosse Championship

Japan
Kokoro Nakazawa will represent host, fifth-ranked Japan which earned a berth to the World Lacrosse Championship after capturing gold at the 2025 Asia-Pacific Women's Lacrosse Championship. The Yokohama native led Japan with 23 points in the 2025 World Games. She played for the Cards from 2021-24. As a senior, she registered a team-best 61 goals and 21 assists, earning IWLCA West/Midwest Region First Team and All-ACC second team honors.

Both Japan and Czechia will compete in Pool D which also includes Israel and the Philippines.

Puerto Rico
Three Louisville alumnae are set to guide Puerto Rico in its second World Cup appearance following a top-four finish at the 2025 Pan American Women's Lacrosse Championship. Mónica Negrón, a 2014 IWLCA All-American and BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year will serve as head coach and will be assisted by fellow alumnae Kirsten Parker who played for the Cards from 2019-22 and was a team co-captain in 2022 and Jamie Redding, an All-BIG EAST honoree whose UofL career spanned from 2011-14.Â

Puerto Rico will open the tournament in Pool C against Argentina, England and Scotland.

About the 2026 World Lacrosse Women's Championship
The 2026 Women's World Championship will be held from July 24 to August 2, in Tokyo, Japan. World Lacrosse will debut a 16-team format with all 16 participants earning a spot through continental championships. Each team will play a three-game round robin with the top two teams from each pool advancing to the eight-team playoffs. The top two seeded teams will be placed on the opposite sides of the bracket with all four pool winners facing second-place teams in the quarterfinals.
