Nick Albiero touched third in 200 fly
ATLANTA -- The University of Louisville men finished 12th at the 2022 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships at McAuley Aquatic Center on the campus of Georgia Tech.

California stayed atop the field, finishing with 487.5 followed by Texas (436.5), Florida (374), NC State (291), Indiana (265), Arizona State (236), Stanford (231), Georgia (194), Ohio State (165), Virginia (154.5), Virginia Tech (143) and Louisville (132) rounding out the top 12 in the 36 team field.

Nicolas Albiero finished third in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 1:38.88 in a tightly contested finish that saw Indiana's Brendan Burns get into the wall first with a time of 1:38.71. Luca Orlando of Georgia was second, just out-touching Albiero, the 2021 champion in this event.

In the 400 free relay, the Cardinals put up a time of 2:49.01 from Murilo Sartori (42.59), Nicolas Albiero (42.08), Dalton Lowe (42.42) and Michael Eastman. The event was won by Texas with the Longhorns posting a 2:46.03 for the top of the podium.
