ATLANTA -- The University of Louisville men will send four as well as the 400 medley relay team to the finals tonight at the 2022 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in McAuley Aquatic Center on the campus of Georgia Tech.

In the 400 Individual Medley, Daniel Sos turned in a time of 3:41.90 to finish fifth in his heat and 19th overall. His time was the fourth fastest time in school history. The top seed for tonight's finals will be Texas swimmer Carson Foster's 3:33.78.

In the 100 fly, Nicolas Albiero made the A-final for tonight with a time of 44.51 to qualify sixth, the second fastest time in school history, just shy of his own record of 44.32. The top qualifier in tonight's final will be Andrei Minakov of Stanford , who posted a time of 43.77.

In the 200 freestyle, freshman Murilo Sartori put up a 1:31.99, the second fastest time in school history to earn a slot in the championship final this evening. He qualified seventh with Texas' Drew Kibler putting up the leading time of 1:30.91. Â Freshman Cardinal Gustavo Saldo went 1:35.03 in an earlier heat.

In the 100 breaststroke, Evgenii Somov turned in a 51.52 to make the consols tonight, qualifying 11th overall. Denis Petrashov tied for 16th in 51.92 and had to race in a swim-off with Virginia Tech's AJ Pouch but did not advance, going 52.44 in the swim-off.

Nicolas Albiero set a school record with a 44.54 to qualify fifth overall in the 100 backstroke. Mitchell Whyte boarded a 45.62 in his heat to finish 24th overall. Indiana's Brendan Burns clocked in at 44.36 in the tightly bunched top eight.
