ATLANTA, -- University of Louisville men completed Day 3 finals in the top ten at the 2022 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at the McAuley Aquatic Center on the campus of Georgia Tech.

Louisville is in ninth place with 108 points after three days of competition. Cal leads the field (320l.5) followed by Texas (313) Florida (272), NC State (214), Indiana (183), Arizona State (167), Stanford (159) Georgia (150), Louisville (108), Ohio State (108) to round out the top ten.

In the 100 butterfly, senior Nicolas Albiero matched his prelim time of 44.61 in the finals to finish sixth and earn All-American honors. It is the second best time in school history. The race was won by Andrei Minakov of Stanford, who clocked in a 43.71, dropping .06 off his prelim time.

In the 200 freestyle, Murilo Sartori made the podium in the 200 freestyle final with a time of 1:32.90, finishing eighth overall for All-American honors. Texas' Drew Kibler won the championship final with a time of 1:30.28.

In the 100 breaststroke, Evgenii Somov touched in 52.15 in the consolation final to finish 16th overall. Minnesota's Max McHugh's winning time of 49.90 was the second fastest time in NCAA history in the .

Nick Albiero, who set a school record in the 100 backstroke this morning in prelims when he posted a time of 44.54, put up a 44.60 in the final to finish sixth in the championship for another All-American honor. NC State's Kacper Stokowski on with a time of 44.04 in a wild finish.

The 400 medley relay team of Nicolas Albiero (45.26), Evgenii Somov (50.81), Dalton Lowe (44.38) and Murilo Sartori (41.58) combined for 3:02.03 for seventh as All-Americans. California won in 3:00.36.

The Cardinals are back in the water at 10 a.m. tomorrow for the prelims of the 200 back, 100 gree, 200 breast, 200 fly and a time final of the 1650 free and 400 Free Relay. Â Â
