
Louisville Women’s Soccer Adds Maya Maxwell to 2022 Class

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville women's soccer head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes and her staff announced today that they have added Louisville native Maya Maxwell to its 2022 class.
"We are thrilled to add Maya to our incoming class," said head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes. "She is a technically gifted soccer player and has a very intuitive feel and understanding of the game. She will compete to play in a wide attacking role for us and I'm excited to see her development throughout her collegiate career."
Maxwell is a two-year captain at Ballard High School in Louisville, Ky.
In her first three years at Ballard, she accumulated 96 goals and 59 assists, while helping the Bruins to two district championships. She had 37 goals and nine assists as a freshman, 35 goals and 22 assists as a sophomore and 24 goals and 28 assists as a junior.
She was named All-State and twice was named to the All-Region team, along with being named the Bruins' offensive MVP.
