
Ekic Named to United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America Team

Emina Ekic was also named a United Soccer Coaches All-American.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Former University of Louisville women's soccer midfielder Emina Ekic has been named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America First Team.
In addition, she was also named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America Second Team and All-Atlantic Region First Team.
Ekic graduated in the fall of 2020 with a 3.560 cumulative grade point average in Exercise Science and was a consistent member of the Dean's List, Athletic Director's Honor Roll, ACC Academic Honor Roll and the Women's Soccer All-ACC Academic Team.
As a senior, she became the first player in Louisville program history to earn ACC Offensive Player of the Year honors, starting all nine games in the fall and leading the team and ranking second in the ACC with seven goals and 17 points. She played a role in 10 of the Cardinals' 11 goals in the fall.
The Louisville, Ky., native concluded her collegiate career with 29 goals, which ranks fourth all-time in program history, while her 19 career assists ranks second all-time.
In January, she made history when she was selected by Racing Louisville FC with the fifth pick in the 2021 NWSL Draft to become the first UofL player to be selected in the NWSL Draft.
