Kouzelos Named Top 10 Goalkeeper by Top Drawer Soccer
August 19, 2020 | Women's Soccer
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville women's soccer goalkeeper Gabby Kouzelos has been named a Top 10 Division I Goalkeeper by Top Drawer Soccer.
She is one of three goalkeepers from the Atlantic Coast Conference named to the list, joined by Virginia's Laurel Ivory and North Carolina's Claudia Dickey.
"She may not have the stereotypical goalkeeper frame, but she makes up for any concerns there with good positioning and sharp shot-stopping reflexes. Unafraid to come off her line and stand up strong, she's one of the more underrated goalkeepers in DI women's soccer. After the 2019 season she earned All-ACC Second Team honors. In her three seasons with the Cardinal, she's played every single game when healthy." - Top Drawer Soccer
The senior from Wadsworth, Ohio, was named All-ACC second team a season ago after starting all 20 matches. She concluded the year with a 13-5-2 record and led the team to 10 shutouts, ranking second in team history. She finished the season with a career-high 51 saves on the year and her 0.87 goals against average ranked second all-time in program history.
