Cardinals Set to Host North Alabama in Doubleheader

Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's tennis team returns home to the Bass Rudd Tennis Center this Friday, Jan. 17 to take on North Alabama. The match is set to begin at 11 a.m with a second match at 3 p.m.

About Louisville women's tennis:
The Cardinals are coming off a road trip last weekend for the Hawai'i Weinman Foundation Invitational. Rain and wind caused delays for some of the matches on Friday but the Cardinals still had a good outing to open their spring season. Sophomore Dina Chaika won both of her doubles matches over the weekend, playing alongside Andrea Di Palmal and Rhea Verma respectively. The pairing of Diana Wong and Jelena Vujanic also won a doubles match 7-6, 7-1.

The Opponent:
The North Alabama women's tennis team is coming off of a 6-16 season in 2019 under head coach Brice Bishop. Coach Bishop is in his 11th season as both the men's and women's tennis teams. A UNA Athletic Hall of Famer, Bishop also holds the title of the school's first All-American in tennis.
