Cards Drop Home Match Against SMU

LOUISVILLE, KY. – The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell 4-0 to No. 32 SMU Friday afternoon at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
SMU claimed the early advantage by sweeping doubles. Sophie Llewellyn and Natalie Stasny clinched the doubles point at No. 3 with a win over the Cardinal pair Germany Davis and Lucia Gallegos.
In singles, Addison Comiskey picked up the first singles point with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Gallegos on court six. UofL's Alice Otis fell 7-5, 6-4 to No. 63 Amelie Van Impe. The match was clinched when No. 61 Sophie Llewellyn downed Davis 7-6 in a tiebreak, 6-4 on court three.
The Cards are set to host California next Friday, March 27 at 4 p.m. at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
