Cardinals Conclude ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships

MASON, Ohio – The University of Louisville women's tennis team finished its run at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships in Mason, Ohio on Sunday, October 11.

Lika Peresypkina and Samaya Smith battled their way out of the qualifying draw to join Berta Miret, Elena Noguero and Germany Davis in the singles main draw. Peresypkina and Noguero ultimately fell in straight sets in the round of 16.

The duo of Ahniya Vustsina and Peresypkina collected two wins while advancing to the round of 16.

Berta Miret and Noguero earned their way into the quarterfinals, tallying three wins on the weekend.

Overall, the Cards earned 18 wins, 13 of which coming from singles competition and five coming from doubles.
