
Cardinals Add Jolene Ballard to the 2019 Roster

Louisville native Jolene Ballard will join the women's soccer team in the fall
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of Louisville head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes announced the addition of Louisville native Jolene Ballard to the 2019 roster.
"We are very excited to add Jolene to our team this fall," said Ferguson-Dayes. "She has had great high school and club experiences which will be helpful as she prepares for the demands at the college level. She is a versatile player that could see playing time in numerous positions."
Ballard joins a freshman class that includes Canadian forward Jessica DeFilippo, Connecticut forward Corinne Dente, and Louisville native Mikayla Miller at goalkeeper.

High School Accomplishments:
Finished her senior season with a record of 17-6-1… Scored 25 goals and had 23 assists during that campaign… Named to the All-State team junior and senior seasons… All-Area team selection junior and senior season… Named Offensive Player of the Season junior and senior year… Captain junior and senior year.
Academic Accomplishments:
1st team Academic All-State honoree all four years of high school… Louisville Women's Leadership Youth Character Award Recipient 2018… Ron Brown Guided Pathway scholar.
