Cardinal Divers Sweep ACC Diver of the Week Honors

Daniel Pinto and Michaela Sliney had strong showings against Notre Dame last week.

University of Louisville divers swept the weekly ACC awards when Cardinal Daniel Pinto was named Diver of the Week for the men and teammate Michaela Sliney was named Diver of the Week for the women.

Pinto had a strong performance in Louisville's 168-132 win over No. 18 Notre Dame. The junior diver from Lima, Peru, won both the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions, posting a 1-meter score of 335.85 and a 3-meter score of 393.75.

Sliney placed in the top five in both springboard competitions in the win over No. 23 Notre Dame, winning the 3-meter event. The senior from Bradford, Massachusetts, scored a 321.15 in the 3-meter competition, and placed fifth in the 1-meter competition.
