Engle Leads Women’s Golf on Day Two of ACC Championship

Freshman Kristin Engle shot a team-best 1-over-par 73 on Sunday.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Kristin Engle shot a 1-over-par 73 on Sunday in leading the University of Louisville women's golf team through the second round of play at the ACC Championship in Greensboro, N.C.
Engle produced the team's best second-round performance, aided by three birdies, to climb to a tie for 45th at the Grandover Resort & Conference Center East Course.
The Cardinals logged a 12-over-par 300 and remained ninth in the team race, with a two-round score of 26-over-par 602. Duke maintained its position atop the leaderboard and holds a 7-under-par 563.
Louisville returns to play for the final round on Monday, teeing off with Miami and Virginia Tech on hole No. 10 starting at 8:50 a.m. ET. Coverage on ACC Network Extra begins at 1 p.m.
Lauren Hartlage moved up five spots into a tie for 34th after a 3-over-par 75, the Cardinals' second-best round of the day. The sophomore is third in the 60-player field with 26 pars.
Molly Skapik and Delaney Shah each registered a 4-over-par 76, rounding out the top four scorers on the day. The duo is tied with Hartlage for 34th.
Olivia Cason is Louisville's highest ranking, tied for 28th.
