Women’s Golf in Ninth After Second Round of Ironwood Invitational

The Cardinals have three players in the Top 20
GREENVILLE, N.C. — The Louisville women's golf team sits in ninth place after the second round of the Ironwood Invitational Monday afternoon from the Ironwood Golf & Country Club. As a team, the Cards shot a 13-over-par 301 in the second round and sit at 36-over-par 576 heading into the final round on Tuesday.
Thienna Huynh leads a trio of Louisville players after the opening two rounds. She is tied for 17th overall at 7-over-par 151. In the second round, Huynh was 5-over-par 75 for the day.
Veronika Exposito improved with a 2-over-par 74 with three birdies on Monday to move into the Top 20 heading into Tuesday. Her round of 74 was the lowest round by a Louisville player during the second round. Exposito is tied with Huynh for 17th overall at 7-over-par 151 after the first 36 holes.
Emree Cameron is the third player sitting in the Top 20 after the first two rounds of competition. She was six-over-par 78 for Monday's round but is tied for 17th overall with Huynh and Exposito at 7-over-par 151 heading into the final round on Tuesday.
Bailey Burkett improved on her opening round score with a 3-over-par 75 in the second round on Monday. She is tied for 28th overall at 9-over-par 153 through 36 holes.
Millie Cottrell made a big jump on Monday as she sits tied for 49th overall at 13-over-par 157. In the second round, she carded a 3-over-par 75 with two birdies. Her second round score was seven strokes better than the opening round from Sunday.
Madison Moman rounds out the scoring for the Cardinals as she is 81st overall at 20-over-par 164. She shot a 9-over-par 81 in the second round on Monday.
