
Pair of Cards Pace Team Through Evie Odom’s First Two Rounds

Veronika Exposito and Amy Hodgkins led the way for Louisville
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The University of Louisville women's golf team completed the first two rounds of the Evie Odom Invitational on Friday at Princess Anne Country Club.
Amy Hodgkins delivered a consistent performance before a late surge helped her finish the day at 3-under-par 137. Hodgkins opened the day with eight consecutive pars before making her first birdie on No. 10. Another birdie later in the opening round helped her finish the first 18 holes at even-par 70.
Hodgkins made five birdies during the second round, including one on her final hole, to post a 3-under-par 67 and move into a tie for 10th.
Louisville finished the opening 36 holes in sixth place with a team score of 5-over-par 565 entering Saturday's final round.
Veronika Exposito led the Cardinals for much of the opening 36 holes and remained in contention near the top of the leaderboard throughout the day. Exposito finished the two rounds in 14th place at 2-under-par 138. She recorded eight birdies, including six during an opening-round 67.
Millie Cottrell followed in a tie for 38th at 5-over-par 145. Bailey Burkett rounded out Louisville's scorers in a tie for 44th at 6-over-par 146, while Madison Moman tied for 60th at 10-over-par 150.
