Women’s Golf Finishes Sixth At Ironwood Invitational

Veronika Exposito tallied her third-straight Top 10 finish
GREENVILLE, N.C. — The Louisville women's golf team saved its best team round for last as they finished sixth overall after the final round of the Ironwood Invitational Tuesday afternoon from Ironwood Golf & Country Club. The Cardinals put together its best round as a team with a 5-over-par 293 on Tuesday to finish 41-over-par 905 for the tournament.
Sophomore Veronika Exposito continued her great play of late as she recorded another Top 10 finish. Exposito fired an even-par 72 with two birdies in the final round to finish the tournament tied for ninth overall at 7-over-par 223. It is her third-straight Top 10 finish, dating back to her individual win at the Bentwater Collegiate.
Thienna Huynh was right behind Exposito as she finished tied for 14th overall at 8-over-par 224 for the tournament. Huynh had her best round of the week in the final round when she put together a 1-over-par 73 with two birdies.
Emree Cameron was tied for 31st overall with a 12-over-par 228 as she competed as an individual. In the final round on Tuesday, she was 5-over-77 with two birdies.
Bailey Burkett was one stroke behind Cameron when she finished tied for 35th overall at 13-over-par 229. In her final round on Tuesday, she was 4-over-par 76 with four birdies on the round.
Millie Cottrell had her best round of the tournament in the final round. She had two birdies and carded a 2-over-par 74 to finish tied for 46th overall at 15-over-par 231.
Madison Moman rounded out the scoring for the Cardinals. She tallied an eagle and had her best round of the week with a 2-over-par 74 on Tuesday. Moman finished tied for 64th overall at 23-over-par 239.
Up next for the Cardinals is the 2026 ACC Championship, set for April 16-19. The Championship will be hosted at Porters Neck Country Club in Wilmington, N.C. The first two days of the Championship will be the stroke play portion of the tournament. The six-highest scoring teams will advance to the match play portion, which will begin on Saturday.
