
Women’s Golf Finishes 15th at ACC Championships

Thienna Huynh had a 2-under-par in the final round to finish tied for 35th overall
WILMINGTON, N.C. — The Louisville women's golf team has concluded the stroke play portion of the ACC Championships Friday afternoon at Porters Neck Country Club in Wilmington, North Carolina. The Cardinals finished stroke play in 15th place overall after its best team round of the week with an even-par 288 to conclude the tournament. The Cardinals were 21-over-par 885 for the championships.
Senior Thienna Huynh led the way for the Cardinals. She finished the tournament tied for 35th overall at 2-over-par 218. In her final round on Friday, she carded a 2-under-par 70 with seven birdies on the round. The 70 was the lowest round by a Louisville player at the ACC Championships this week.
Millie Cottrell and Bailey Burkett both shot an even-par 72 in the final round on Friday. Cottrell had four birdies and it was her second-straight even-par round. She finished the championships at 6-over-par 222 and tied for 53rd. Burkett had three birdies on the round and it was her best round of the week. She finished just behind Cottrell at 7-over-par 223 and tied for 58th.
Veronika Exposito was 2-over-par 74 on Friday with one birdie, her third-straight round of 74 this week. She finished the tournament tied with Cottrell at 6-over-par 222 and tied for 53rd overall.
Emree Cameron rounded out the scoring for the Cardinals. She had her best round of the week with a 2-over-par 74 with two birdies. She finished the championships 72nd overall at 15-over-par.
