5 Cardinals Named to WGCA All-Scholar Team

FRISCO, Texas — The University of Louisville women's golf team had five players named to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team, the Women's Golf Coaches Association announced Monday afternoon.
Bailey Burkett, Millie Cottrell, Veronika Exposito, Thienna Huynh and Madison Moman were all named to the WGCA All-American Scholar squad. It is the second time Burkett, Cottrell and Exposito have earned the academic honor. Huynh and Moman earned the honor for the first time in their careers.
The Cards have had a number of academic honors since the season concluded. They had four players (Burkett, Cottrell, Exposito and Huynh) named to the All-ACC Academic Team back in June. Exposito was also named to the CSC Academic All-District Team last month.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of our players. To be selected, a student-athlete must:

- Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
- Be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season.
- Have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year
- nominated through the team's conference championship.
