MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - University of Louisville women's lacrosse fell to Robert Morris 13-12 on Saturday afternoon despite a five-goal scoring effort for Caroline Blalock.

The Cardinals are now 6-5 on the season.

Robert Morris opened the game with the first goal just a minute and a half in, but the two teams traded goals throughout the first half as the Eagles went into halftime with a 7-6 lead.

Tessa Chad and Blalock scored two goals each in the first half, while Lexi Cheetham added one goal of her own.

The two teams continued to trade goals in the second half until Robert Morris broke away with a four-goal run to extend their lead to five.

The Cardinals finished with a four-goal scoring streak of their own and had a scoring opportunity with 30 seconds left, but could not find the back of the net before the final horn.

With the late surge, Louisville pulled within one, but they never gained the lead as they fell 13-12.

In the second half, Louisville won nine of 11 draw controls, while Blalock, Chad and Emily Howell combined for six goals.

Blalock and Chad finished with a combined nine goals as Chad added four to Blalock's five.
Lexie Ball finished with six saves.
