Women's Lacrosse Plays at Brown on Wednesday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville women's lacrosse (6-5, 0-3) stays on the road as they travel to Providence, R.I. for Wednesday's non-conference matchup against Brown University.

The Cardinals are 6-2 against non-conference opponents this season, with their most recent matchup resulting in a 13-12 loss at Robert Morris.

Last Saturday, Louisville fell to Robert Morris after ending the game on a four-goal scoring streak to pull within one goal before the final horn sounded.

Caroline Blalock scored five goals, while Tessa Chad scored four to account for nine of Louisville's 12 goals on Saturday.

Alex McNicholas won a career-high and team season-high eight draw controls on Saturday, six of which came during the second half where the Cardinals controlled nine of 11 draws.

ABOUT THE BEARS

Brown (5-4, 0-3) enters Wednesday's game after a 16-10 road loss to the Pennsylvania. The Bears are 3-1 at home this season, recently taking down Iona 10-6 on their home turf. Risa Mosenthal leads the scoring for Brown with 35 goals on the year and boasts an 84% shot-on-goal percentage.
