The league is home to many of the top women's soccer players in the world today including Megan Rapino, Tobin Heath, Alex Morgan, Julie Ertz, and Marta, among others. The Red Stars are one of 10 teams who compete in the NWSL. The Red Stars are coming off one of their best seasons since the league's inception in 2013. Chicago advanced to the semi-finals of the league playoffs last year before losing out to the North Carolina Courage.
Yenney enjoyed a stellar playing career at UofL, earning multiple Big East accolades and serving as team captain during her in time in Louisville.
