
Cardinals Add Three Standouts in 2019

Three high school standouts will join the Louisville soccer team in the fall of 2019
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of Louisville head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes announced the 2019 women's soccer recruiting class on Thursday afternoon. The 2019 class consists of three high school standouts.
This year's class boasts two offensive and one defensive player joining the Cardinals in the fall of 2019. On offense the Cards added Canadian forward Jessica DeFilippo and Connecticut forward Corinne Dente. Â Defensively, Louisville added Louisville native Mikayla Miller at goalkeeper.Â

In past seven years for Lakeshore Soccer Club, scored 175 goals in 148 games… League Champions every year for past seven years… Won two gold, one silver, and one bronze medal at the Canadian National Championships… 2018 Finalist for the Gala Sports Quebec Athlete of the Year… Scored 16 goals in 18 games during 2018 campaign… 2017 Golden Boot Winner at Canada Games for tying Canadian Record for most goals scored at the tournament… 2017 Canada Games All-Star Team Selection… Scored 24 goals in 22 games during 2017 season… Part of team that won the first gold medal for Quebec since the inception of the Canada Games in 2017… 2016 Quebec Athlete of the Year after scoring 28 goals in 25 games… Won Golden Ball MVP and Golden Boot in the Elite Quebec Soccer League in 2015 for scoring 38 goals in 26 games… 2015 Golden Shoe "Best Striker" Winner.

Member of 2018 Team Canada for the U17 World Cup held in Uruguay… Selected to 2018 Canadian U20 CONCACAF Championship team… Attended first Canadian Team Camp in 2014… Member of 2013 Canada Danone Nations Cup team where she was one of two women in the entire tournament.
