Kelsi Worrell and Marcelo Acosta win gold
The University of Louisville Cardinals, past and present, made the podium four times yesterday at the Pro Arena Swim Series in Mesa, Ariz. Â Mallory Comerford, Marcelo Acosta, Joao De Lucca and Kelsi Worrell brought home hardware representing the Cards.

Mallory Comerford won silver in the 100-meter freestyle finals with a 54.22, just behind Simone Manuel's 53.66. Kelsi Worrell was fifth in that final, with a 54.84. Casey Fanz was 16th with a 56.70 and Nastja Govejsek went 57.01 for 19th.

In the men's 100-meter freestyle finals, Joao De Lucca won silver with a 49.67, just behind winner Nathan Adrian's 48.18. Andrej Barna was ninth in 50.35 and Trevor Carroll was 13th in 51.11.

In the women's 200-meter breaststroke finals, Andrea Cottrell touched seventh with a 2:31.84. Silvia Guerra was 16th with a 2:38.9.

In the men's 200-breaststroke final, Carlos Claverie was fourth with a 2:11.82, dropping 2.21 off his prelim time.
Kelsi Worrell won gold in the 100-meter fly, with a 58.60. Mallory Comerford was 6th in 1:00.18. Alina Kendzior was 25th in 1:02.68 just ahead of Nastja Govejsek's 1:03.62.

Zach Harting was seventh in the men's 100-meter fly finals with a 53.87. Etay Gurevich was 11th with a 54.50.
Marcelo Acosta won the men's 400-meter freestyle with a 3:53.38.
In the 400-meter free, Sophie Cattermole was 19th with a 4:24.62.

Mallory Comerford posted a 54.62, just behind Simone Manuel and just ahead of Katie Ledecky in the prelims of the 100 M free.  Kelsi Worrell qualified fifth in 54.99 Casey Fanz qualified 16th in 56.80 and Nastja Govejsek was 17th in prelims with a 56.88. Lainey Visscher went 58.06 just ahead of Alina Kendzior's 58.61.

In the men's 100-meter free, Joao De Lucca put up the fastest qualifying time with a 49.69. Andrej Barna was 10th (50.84), Trevor Carroll was 15th (51.15), Zach Harting was 27th (51.72)

In the 200-meter breaststroke, Andrea Cottrell qualified sixth with a 2:32.46, Silvia Guerra was 15th (2:38.09).
