Swimming Finals in Three Events on Day Two

INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Louisville women's swimming and diving team placed finalists in three events and broke two school records after prelims on day two at IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI.

In the first event of the day, the Cards qualified sixth in the 200-free relay with a school record time of 1:27.65 put up by Lainey Visscher (22.38), Mallory Comerford (21.27), Avery Braunecker (22.22), and Casey Fanz (21.78). Comerford's 21.27 split was the fastest in the field.

In the 500-free, Mallory Comerford set a new school record with a time of 4:36.91 to finish fourth in prelims and advance to the A-final. Abbie Houck boarded a time of 4:46.47.

Rachael Bradford-Feldman posted a personal best time of 1:56.99 in the 200-IM to finish 22nd.

In the 50-free, Casey Fanz (22.37) finished 30th and Lainey Visscher (22.52) finished 40th in the event.

Louisville finished third in the 400-medley relay with a time of 3:28.24 put up by Alina Kendzior (52.53), Andrea Cottrell (58.38), Grace Oglesby (51.15), and Comerford (46.18), who also had the fastest split in the field.

Louisville did not have a diver in the 1-meter springboard event.
Finals of day two of the NCAA Women's Championships begin at 6:00 p.m. EST.
