Regional powers to clash on Friday in Bloomington
The University of Louisville swimming and diving teams travel north to Bloomington where they will clash with rival Indiana on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatics Center.
Â
The No. 7 Louisville men will take on the No. 4 Indiana men with the No. 10 Louisville women facing the No. 14 Indiana women. The dual-meet with the Hoosiers will mark the Cardinals final regular-season contest before the Cardinals start preparation for the ACC's.
Â
Louisville is coming off a busy weekend after capturing two dual-meet wins over ACC rival Notre Dame and intra-state rival Kentucky. The Cardinals used 14 B-cuts to cruise to a sweep of the Irish last Friday in which the 19 seniors were honored before the race, while the Cardinals won 22 races en route to a ninth consecutive victory over the Wildcats.
Â
Indiana wrapped up last weekend with 22 victories, as well, on their way to a sweep over Big Ten rival Purdue. The men captured their 10th win of the season to remain undefeated in dual-meets, while the women captured their seventh dual-meet victory of the season.
Â
Louisville will look for their first win over Indiana since the men upset the then No. 11 Hoosiers on Jan. 28, 2012, 165.5-134.5.
