Cards host Notre Dame for Senior Day and then head to Lexington to face Kentucky
The University of Louisville men's and women's swimming and diving teams are set to host ACC foe Notre Dame to Ralph Wright Natatorium on January 20 Â before traveling to Lexington to face in-state rival Kentucky on January 21 at Lancaster Aquatic Center. The Cardinals will honor their seniors ahead of the Notre Dame meet.Â
The No. 7-ranked Louisville men will take on the No. 22-ranked Notre Dame men with the No. 10-ranked Cardinal women facing the unranked Irish women on Friday at 2 p.m. ET. A quick turnaround has the Cardinals traveling to face the NR/18 Wildcats on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.

The Cardinals are coming off a dual-meet sweep of No. 6/11 Missouri Tigers where Louisville racked up 13 NCAA B-cuts and swept all eight relays in the two-day meet to help them cruise to a victory. In the men's 400-free relay, Andrej Barna, Trevor Carroll, Matthias Lindenbauer, and Grigory Tarasevich out touched Mizzou with a time of 2:56.46. The foursome of Mallory Comerford, Nastja Govejse, Alex Sellers, and Abigail Houck combined for the winning time of 3:22.12 in the 400-free relay.

The Irish are coming off a sweep of Northwestern last Saturday before also sweeping Iowa and Illinois the day before. Notre dame swept the relays versus all of the Big Ten foes, with men's team of Afrik Tabahn, Daniel Speers, Justin Plaschka, and Reed Fujan taking the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 2:58.03. The women's foursome of Abbie Dolan, Sofia Revilak, Katie Smith, and Catherine Mulquin touching first with a time of 3:23.51.

The Wildcats are coming off a tri-meet sweep versus Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech in Blacksburg, Va. that was cut short due to a winter storm. At the end of day one, Kentucky captured six first-place finishes, swept two events, and touched with four NCAA B-cuts. The women's team is led by Asia Seidt who holds the 14th fastest time in the 100 back at 51.50 and the fourth fastest time in the 200 back at 1:51.18. The men are led by Andrew Aviotti who holds a top-15 time in the 1650 freestyle event with a time of 14:58.50.

Louisville finished with 15 NCAA B-cuts leading them to a sweep over Kentucky last year at Ralph Wright Natatorium. This will be the first time Louisville has raced Notre Dame in a dual-meet since the Irish men traveled to Ralph Wright on January 24, 2014 that saw Louisville capture the win.
